Lavender Syrup
Lavender syrup is a lovely addition to many cocktails. I prefer the Royal Velvet lavender variety for syrup.
Ingredients
2 cups white sugar
2 cups water
2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
Directions
Place the sugar and water in a pan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved completely. Boil gently for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the lavender. Cover and let stand for 1 hour. Strain the syrup thru a fine mesh sieve and discard the solids. Put in a clean jar and store in the refrigerator. Enjoy within 3 months.
