Sunshine Herb and Lavender Farm
For cooking I recommend the Melissa variety of lavender. Royal Velvet and Purple Bouquet are also good choices. Sunshine sells all three.

Vintage Wine Merchants
I love this store. It's small but has a fairly large and unique select of wines, whiskey and other spirits. They are always available to chat and provide excellent advice. If you're ever in the south bay (CA), check them out.
